Groups

We run several groups throughout the year, which generally focus on aspects of neurodiversity or mental health. Groups are a fantastic opportunity for you to meet with like minded individuals and to share in learning aimed at increasing your understanding of a specific topic and improving your wellbeing.

We also offer Post-diagnostic support to groups of people who have been diagnosed with Autism and their families. These workshops focus on learning about specific aspects of neurodiversity and sharing experiences with others.

All of our groups are facilitated by our Clinical Psychologist and are advertised on our social media and website. Please get in touch if you wish to find out more, or enquire about upcoming workshops.

About the Group

This will be a small group of young adults (all tickets come with a plus one) who identify as neurodivergent or autistic. This is a unique opportunity to learn from specialist speakers, and from each other, as we come together to navigate the world of neurodivergence.

This is for you if............

  • You identify as autistic or neurodivergent (diagnosis not necessary)
  • You are aged between 15 and 25
  • You want to learn more about autism or neurodivergence
  • You are curious about good mental health and wellbeing
  • You would like a safe space to consider your own experiences of being neurodivergent

Attendees will be invited to listen to the autistic experience of others, and to hear knowledge and information from a Clinical Psychologist and an Occupational Therapist, as well as experts by experience.

You will learn about neurodivergence and have an opportunity to consider how this is experienced within your own life, and how aspects may impact on your mental health and wellbeing. This group is built on the foundation of understanding mental health and wellbeing, and how this can be improved by living in a neuro-affirmative way.

The group includes a session from an Occupational Therapist, who is an expert in sensory integration, which will help you to learn about your sensory system, the impact of the environment around you, and how you can be supported to soothe and regulate your senses.

The group consists of three sessions, all of them facilitated by a Clinical Psychologist, and other specialist speakers.

  • Neurodivergence, autism and mental health.
  • Sensory integration
  • Art and mental health (a creative session facilitated by an autistic artist)

Support will be offered throughout the sessions, quiet rooms and refreshments will be provided. We look forward to welcoming you and your guest to our next group!
