Clinical Supervision: Theory and practice
This is a training session that explores the key principles of providing effective and nurturing clinical supervision, and can be commissioned for groups of people who offer clinical supervision or 1:1 support for other staff members or professionals.This session is facilitated by Dr Michelle Hacking, who provides clinical supervision for Clinical Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses and Housing Officers within Salford Council, in addition to offering clinical supervision to professionals who work with autistic people throughout the North-West.
This training course counts towards Continued Professional Development (CPD) and is an opportunity to learn about clinical supervision, and to put some of the theory into practice. Autism and Neurodivergence
This is an introduction to autism and neurodivergence. It is ideal for groups or organisations who wish to support their autistic staff members, or autistic clients. This course gives an overview of autism and neurodivergence, including strengths, challenges and reasonable adjustments.
This training workshop is a must for organisations who care about their staff and clients, and who want to be inclusive. This workshop is delivered by our Clinical Psychologist, alongside an expert by experience, and can be tailored to meet the learning needs of your individual team. Our training sessions are co-produced with autistic people, and are packed full of interesting facts, ideas and tips. This can be a half or full day training session.
Attachment and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s)
This is a three hour training workshop that is vital for anyone working in mental health, education and organisations that work with vulnerable people. Attachment is relevant to all our lives, and has a lasting impact over the lifespan. It is essential for everyone working with vulnerable adults or children to understand the influence that adverse childhood experiences have on physical and mental health, education, substance use, careers and relationships.
This can be delivered face to face or via online webinar. This short training session is perfect for organisations and professionals looking for an introduction to psychological attachment theory, and to learn about how early life events have a long term impact. Working with autistic children and young people
This is a training session for organisations, professionals and groups who wish to learn more about neurodivergence and how to support autistic children and young people. This can be offered as a full day training session, or a half day introduction. This has been delivered to trainee psychologists, mental health professionals, social workers, schools, youth workers, residential services, and at The University of Manchester.
